Announcements:

Welcome to the final weeks of class. The next two weeks you will be working on your final project. The final project should be a 2 - 4 minute cartoon using the basic skills you've learned in class. You can draw and use the cartoon cell format used earlier in the class, the boy who cried wolf is an example of that. Or you can animate your character that you made a cartoon study of. You will need to add voice and color to either cartoon and and make a complete cartoon.

The frame rate should be between 12-24 frames per second. The number of frames for a cartoon using 12 frames per second and 2 min is 1440 frames, very short. The frames needed for a 4 minute cartoon at 12 frames per second is 2880. So you will be graded on how well you cartoon works, the use of color, the basic animation and the voice over. So please take your time and produce a basic level cartoon.

All course work up to this point is due by this Friday. The Final project is due Dec. 15th, midnight. Unless you have asked for an extention I will expect to see everyone's work Dec. 15th.

Try and have fun with the final and I look forward to seeing what you have.
